Ron used to watch football all the time, back in our early days during our college years. At the time, we rented a house in the San Francisco Bay Area. He would have a few buddies over and order pizza. During the commercials, they would chase our big dog Max and toss a football across the living room.
That was a lifetime ago. The days of renting, going to college and even living in California are gone. Max – rest his sweet soul – passed away 14 years ago. We’ve never had a dog that “went long” to catch the football in his mouth quite like he did.
I never did get into the sport, but the social and the food – I can definitely get on board with that part of it. So, when the San Francisco 49ers headed to the Super Bowl after last week’s playoffs, Ron announced we would host a game day party this year at our house.
